Last 2 Months

Carson at 5 months-old weighs 16lbs. 2oz. He has two upper incisor teeth (kind of strange, he looks like a little vampire), is rolling front to back and back to front, started solids and still isn't sleeping through the night. He is super easy-going and always smiling...such a little sweetie.
First taste of veggies....green beans.

Easter was spent at the TeBrake household. Lane enjoyed her first Easter egg hunt and of course spending any time with her cousins, aunties and uncles and Grandma and Papa.

Loving it up with Auntie M and one of Lane's best buddies, Annie.

Papa.....overcome by the excitement of the day :)

Lane and Carson have become quite the buddies. Bath time is no exception!

For some reason, Carson really likes his sister's bed. He loves to help get Lane up in the morning and from her nap. Most of all he enjoys lounging in it....often much to Lane's dismay.

We took the kid's to Tulip Time in Holland this year. We only have one picture because our camera ran out of batteries....of course. It was packed with people but we had a great time. Lane loved the Kinderplaats and is still talking about getting to pet a snake, jumping on all of the giant inflatable toys and her favorite; getting a tattoo on her hand. Ahhh, the simple pleasures.
This has been a busy past 2 months for us. We have our house on the market and our hope is to move back to Holland. We have had plenty of showings and an open house, but no such luck yet. We continue to work on keeping an open mind and knowing it's God's plan, not ours. We'll keep you updated.

Like Mom, Like Dad

This is role-play in action. Can you guess which parental figure each of our kids is mimicking? And can you also guess who stuck our 4-month-old in a seat in front of a hockey game and took a picture?

First Haircut

The time has finally arrived for Lane's first haircut...or should I say trim. I have waited 2 1/2 years for this moment. I love God's sense of humor....after all my wishing and hoping for hair for my little girl, He blessed her with a mullet. The 'business in front, party in the back' look was getting a little unruly so we called in Miss Cricket to help. There wasn't much she could do but it is a little more manageable for the time being. Thanks C!

Cottage Fun

Our family of four spent Valentines Day weekend at my parent's cottage. Chris and Lane enjoyed the outdoor activities while Carson and I held down the fort. Lane would live outside if we let her so she was in her glory.

Carson hamming it up fire-side!

Activities for the weekend included; make-your own pizza night, watching movies/Olympics, sledding, reading a million kid's books, staying in pajamas all day and Lane's favorite, keeping a close eye on all of the ice-fisherman and their shanty's.

Carson Boy

Our little boy is already 3 1/2 months! He is such a good baby and smiles and giggles often. He is only getting up once during the night to eat, which makes everyone a little more pleasant around this house. I do still get up 2-3 times to put the pacifier back in but he always goes right back to sleep...just waiting for him to find his thumb like our first-born! He is in 6-month clothes already and is showing no signs of slowing down. We are all thoroughly enjoying this BIG bundle of joy.
