Green Beans

I started Lane on green beans a few weeks ago and I think this picture says it all. She is now eating some form of cereal in the morning and a veggie in the evening and trying to master a sippy cup. Some of you have asked how the spit-up issue has been going and if it has improved at all. I'm going to have to say she still spits up all the time but now we have the added bonus of it being green. Yep..I have several new stains on my carpet that are a nice shade of green. Good times. Thankfully Chris's parents let us borrow their carpet steam cleaner which has already proven to be worth every penny!

Our Weekend

We headed to Chicago for the weekend to celebrate Chris' Dad's birthday. On Saturday we went to Brookfield Zoo with Chris's parents and Katie and Justin and the kids. It was a beautiful day and it felt so nice to be able to be outside and enjoy a little sunshine. We went to a dolphin show which was very fun and were able to see a ton of animals, my favorite being the polar bears. Overall, Laney did great, but missing a nap and being outside in the cold for a few hours proved to be a bit too much for the little one and toward the end of the day we had a "crabby patty" on our hands.
We headed back from Chicago on Sunday morning and went straight to Kyle and Jenn's for the day to hang out while the boys played basketball (which they do every Sunday afternoon). Laney loves hanging out with all of her cousins...as truly there is never a dull moment. It was a great weekend!

My new trick

My dear husband thought this would be funny. Chris is always teaching Laney new "tricks" and this is the latest. She has graduated from balancing pacifiers on her head to teething toys. I am so proud.

The beginning

So, I have finally decided to start a blog..after a lot of poking and prodding from my friends (you know who you are). This will allow me to share some tidbits about the Borchert household and keep you updated on our fun and always interesting life! Enjoy.
