And...We're Back

I am well aware that I have been severely lacking in keeping up with the blog. Actually, several of you have so kindly pointed out that I need to get my act together :) So, I apologize and hope to get back on track. I've posted several pictures below of what we have been up to so feel free to check it out.
Overall things are good but busy. I finished my 6 week, full-time orientation and am now working on my part-time schedule. We owe a big thank you to so many people for helping us with Lane during that time and making it go as smoothly as it could. It's times like that that really show you how loved you are! And as a side note...to all those Mom's out there that work full-time outside of the home, weather it is by choice or not...I give you a ton of credit. I found it very difficult for many reasons and applaud those that can do it and do it well.
As for my pregnancy, I am 23 weeks and so far so good. We had our 20 week ultrasound and praise God that everything looks good. We decided not to find out the sex. This was beyond difficult for me because of my need to plan and organize but I know it will be so worth it in the end. Now, if anyone would like to give us ideas for baby names, we are accepting!
On another note, we sold our Envoy and are moving on to the minivan! Living with one car and two people that work outside the home has proven to be a challenge so we are looking forward to having enough time to actually look at something and make a purchase. I have to admit, I'm kind of excited for a minivan, although not extremely stylish, I've heard they make life with kids so much easier.
So, that is us in a nutshell right now. I promise to do better with the blog..thanks to all of you who actually came back!

Just Hanging Out

Lane trying to figure out how Dad's voice is coming from this thing :)

Uncle Kyle, Grandpa and K.J. playing a little game of baseball.
It's always fun to get the whole family together and head to my parent's cottage. This particular weekend was pretty cold but it didn't stop us from heading to the park and spending most of our time outside. I tried to get a picture of all the kids together but we all know how that goes :)

Kiddie Pool

We realize this set up is a little WT but you make due with what you have, right? Since these pictures we have upgraded to a bigger pool so more pictures to come. There were no complaints on Laney's end though, she had a ball!

Memorial Day Parade

We attempted to attend a Memorial Day parade this year thinking of all the fun it would be for Lane to see. The town we went to will remain nameless but the one American flag, 5 marching war veterans, one high school marching band, one corvette and NO candy didn't cut it in my book as an actual parade. It lasted a total of 3 minutes which was far less than the 20 minutes we spent waiting for it to get to us. We could only laugh as we pulled away and chalked this one up to a memory!

The Nest

We found this nest in one of our hanging baskets. As pretty as it is we took it out because it was killing our flowers. Lane was quite intrigued by this and had a hard time not "playing" with it.
