This was the only way I could sit down and enjoy lunch the other day. The 5 minutes of uninterrupted time was worth every piece of tupperware strewn about the room.
I totally know the feeling - I do the same thing or let Ben "color" with markers...which means it's all over the table/his clothes, etc...but at least I get to eat in peace!
