J-O-B
It's been awhile since the last post but we have been very busy around these parts. I have been interviewing for a position since December and finally received word that I got the job! Starting the Monday after Easter, I will be working part-time as the Medical Social Worker in the Pediatric Nephrology Clinic at Spectrum Health Hospital. Actually, during the 6 week orientation process I will be working 4 days as week and then once I'm done, 2 days one week, 3 the next. Chris and I are very excited for this but with any change it is also a bit nerve wrecking. I have been a stay-at-home Mom with Lane since she was born, so this is definitely going to test us all. I keep reminding myself that millions of Moms do this every day and in the end it's what is best for our family. I'm hoping my professional self isn't completely lost and will emerge sooner rather than later :). We could definitely use your thoughts and prayers as we transition as a family...and I am open to any advice you working Mom's out there have to give!

Hey congrats! That's the perfect schedule, I work 3 days a week and I wouldn't want any more. You'll totally be able to do it, and it is fun to have adult conversations and do 'big people stuff' and still get to be at home. My advice is to have your stuff all packed and ready to go the night before so you can just get up, get ready and go...because you never know what might happen in the morning :-) Good luck and have fun!
I was beginning to wonder if you were prego & that's why there hadn't been any updates in a while!!
Congrats on the job! It sounds like a great gig!
