Deanna's Playhouse
Summer Fun
We spent a great day at our friend's parent's pool on the 4th of July. Lane LOVES the water and will jump to anyone whether they are ready or not. She is showing no fear around the water which is good in a sense but makes this Mom one Nervous Nelly.
This is our first attempt at potty training. Since she is constantly telling us when she needs a new diaper we thought we would give this a whirl. She was successful with #1 and #2 on the first try!!! We were all super excited but must admit have had no such luck since. We'll try again down the road :)

And...We're Back
I am well aware that I have been severely lacking in keeping up with the blog. Actually, several of you have so kindly pointed out that I need to get my act together :) So, I apologize and hope to get back on track. I've posted several pictures below of what we have been up to so feel free to check it out.
Overall things are good but busy. I finished my 6 week, full-time orientation and am now working on my part-time schedule. We owe a big thank you to so many people for helping us with Lane during that time and making it go as smoothly as it could. It's times like that that really show you how loved you are! And as a side note...to all those Mom's out there that work full-time outside of the home, weather it is by choice or not...I give you a ton of credit. I found it very difficult for many reasons and applaud those that can do it and do it well.
As for my pregnancy, I am 23 weeks and so far so good. We had our 20 week ultrasound and praise God that everything looks good. We decided not to find out the sex. This was beyond difficult for me because of my need to plan and organize but I know it will be so worth it in the end. Now, if anyone would like to give us ideas for baby names, we are accepting!
On another note, we sold our Envoy and are moving on to the minivan! Living with one car and two people that work outside the home has proven to be a challenge so we are looking forward to having enough time to actually look at something and make a purchase. I have to admit, I'm kind of excited for a minivan, although not extremely stylish, I've heard they make life with kids so much easier.
So, that is us in a nutshell right now. I promise to do better with the blog..thanks to all of you who actually came back!
