U.P. Cottage 2010

This years cottage trip completely redeemed last years debacle of a vacation. The kids did great on the 8 hour trip (leaving in the evening and investing in a portable DVD player seemed to be the trick) and we were fortunate with safe travels. The weather was perfect and we were able to spend most of our time outdoors. It was so hot that one day we were even able to witness Grandma's perfect dive off of the raft. Epic. Lane was in her glory and Carson continued to be "Destructo," just in a different location. Overall, a fantastic vacation!

A Pictures Worth 1,000 Words

Chris was nice enough to capture this moment for us. That would be me watching TV and Lane reading the Parenting magazine. Please leave your judgement at the door.

8 Months

Lane is 3!

Lane turned 3 at the end of July and because family is so spread about and schedules are busy she ended up having four separate events focused on her little self! As you can probably gather from the pictures, Dora is a big hit around this house.
This is the cottage celebration when both sets of grandparents were there. This was a very fun weekend and as you can see, Lane did not lack in the gift department.

Phelps side get together. Paige, Brooklyn and Madison also celebrated birthdays in July!

Borchert party at our house. Dora themed everything.

Greta Elyse

At the begging of July, Chris and I became an uncle and aunt for the 8th time. Greta is baby #4 for Katie and Justin. Welcome sweet girl!

Karissa and David's Wedding

Bachelorette Party

This past weekend we celebrated my sister, Karissa's, bachelorette party. The picture directly above is a game we made her play where all the guests had to bring a pair of underwear that best represented themselves and she had to guess who brought which pair. Sadly, I represented myself by a toddlers, princess themed, pull-up diaper.
The party was a lot of fun but I still have a hard time believing my little sister is getting married! I really felt my age the next day when I basically had to take several naps to make up for rolling in around 2am. How embarrassing. Oh well, onto the main event....only a few more weeks till the wedding!!!
